Our Favorites of February 2025

This studious start to 2025 has given us the opportunity to taste a wide variety of wines from diverse origins. It has also allowed us to travel without leaving France, especially through the aisles of the early-year wine fairs. We've done the work for you, and here are some of the gems we discovered during our tasting sessions, featuring wines from Italy, Uruguay, Argentina, and Corsica!

Bonfadini - Franciacorta

This estate was founded in 1956 by Giovanni, the grandfather. Among its top-tier productions, we selected this incredible cuvée, made from hand-harvested grapes and undergoing a second fermentation in the bottle for at least 30 months. A portion of the Chardonnay is aged in French oak barrels for seven months, just like the expedition liqueur, which is crafted from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines.

Victus Nature 2016

A shimmering golden-yellow robe. A mature nose with aromas of dried fruits, toasted bread, and pastries. The palate is full-bodied, generous, and refined, with impressive length enhanced by noble aromas and a seductive saline finish.

Los Cerros de San Juan

This is the oldest winery in Uruguay, founded in 1854 by the Lahusen family from Germany. Here, we discovered velvety wines made from Tannat, of course, but also an exceptional Cabernet Franc cuvée (Maderos 2020). This wine is fresh, delicious, smooth, and above all, highly aromatic, bursting with the generous fruity character of the grape.

Maderos 2020

A ruby-colored robe with a youthful appearance. A fresh nose of ripe redcurrants, very enticing. The palate is smooth, well-structured, and fresh, with a distinct expression of the grape variety and velvety tannins. A true pleasure wine!

Belhara Estate

If you think Argentine wines are always massive, tannic, and oaky, here’s the perfect counterexample. This winery produces true nectar in the renowned Uco Valley, where all the conditions are met to craft exceptional wines—and this is the proof!

Alma de Uco 2023 (Malbec - Cabernet Franc)

A deep red robe. A pure, intense fruity nose. The palate is fleshy, with incredible fruit quality wrapped in freshness. A vibrant wine with an outstanding aromatic personality—simply unmissable!

Fecovita

This cooperative group brings together over 5,000 winegrowers and 29 production units. The 25,000 hectares of vineyards are located in Mendoza’s most prestigious wine regions, including Los Helechos in the famous Uco Valley. We discovered an impressive range of wines, with the highlight being this stunning Malbec Blend de Terroirs.

Ensamblados 2020

A dark robe with youthful reflections. A deep and elegant nose of black fruits. The palate is full-bodied, intensely fruity, velvety, and long-lasting. A true marvel.

Domaine de Tanella

In 1975, Jean-Baptiste de Peretti della Rocca took over this family vineyard, founded in the late 19th century in the heart of the village of Poggiale, within the Corsican Figari appellation. The estate consistently produces high-quality wines, a trait especially evident in this new range that highlights the excellence of Corsican native grape varieties.

Suarte 2020 – 100% Sciaccarellu

A slightly evolved ruby-colored robe. A nose of stone fruits with a delicate hint of candied notes. The palate is smooth and offers a beautiful length, staying true to the grape’s distinctive character. A truly Corsican wine through and through—convivial and authentic.
